Jason Frostholm is a designer, animator, and podcaster currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Technologies and Practice at the University of South Alabama. He has over 20 years of experience as a working designer and creative director. He strives to learn new elements of his craft continuously and has a passion for passing that knowledge to students. He has been a board member of AIGA, AdFed, SMPS Southeast Louisiana, and served as a staff member for the annual Creative South Conference. He currently serves as Vice President on the board of Pensacola Designers and the Design XL Conference, based in Pensacola, Florida. He loves cooking, making tiki drinks, and craft cocktails in his spare time. He finds cooking and mixology to be relaxing, creative outlets. Jason, his wife, Tina, and their twin boys live along the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Jason has hosted two successful podcasts, the Creative South Podcast from 2015 until 2018 and Feasting on Design which started in 2018 and is currently on hiatus while in grad school. He has talked with notable designers and illustrators like Chris Do, Aaron Draplin, Clark Orr, Anna Hurley, Alice Lee, Forefather’s Group, Brethren Design Co., and many others. Jason’s podcasts have been featured on numerous best-of lists. In addition to podcasting, Jason speaks at events about forging your path, fighting the comparison monster, and mental health among designers and creatives.
